摘要
新产品开发是企业生存与发展的基础。数字经济的兴起与发展使组织边界趋于模糊,产品创新要素得以在企业间高速流通,企业能够通过跨界获得必要资源以提高新产品开发绩效,然而目前鲜有基于企业层面探讨跨界行为和新产品开发绩效的关系。文章基于交易成本理论,引入供应商参与作为中介变量,知识距离作为调节变量,构建了一个有调节的中介模型。通过对352份问卷数据的实证分析,探讨了跨界行为与新产品开发绩效的关系、影响路径与边界条件。研究发现:企业跨界行为正向影响新产品开发绩效;供应商参与在跨界行为和新产品开发绩效中起部分中介作用;知识距离负向调节跨界行为对供应商参与的影响。研究结果明晰了跨界行为对新产品开发绩效的影响机制和边界条件,对企业新产品开发实践也具有一定价值。
New product development serves as the cornerstone of a company's survival and growth.The rise and development of the digital economy have blurred organizational boundaries,enabling the rapid circulation of product innovation elements among companies.Enterpises can enhance their new product development performance by engaging in boundary-spinning behavior to acquire essential resources.However,there is a scarcity of research at the organizational level that explores the relationship between boundary-spinning behavior and new product development performance.Building on transaction cost theory,this article introduces supplier participation as a mediating variable and knowledge distance as a moderating variable,constructing a moderated mediation model.Through empirical analysis of 352 questionnaire data,this study examines the relationship between interfirm boundary crossing behavior and new product development performance,along with the influencing paths and boundary conditions.The research findings indicate the following:Boundary-spinning behavior positively influences new product development performance;Supplier participation partially mediates the relationship between interfirm boundary crossing behavior and new product development performance;Knowledge distance negatively moderates the impact of boundary-spinning behavior on supplier participation.The study elucidates the impact mechanism and boundary conditions of interfirm boundary crossing behavior on new product development performance,providing valuable insights for companies engaged in new product development practices.
