网络基础设施建设与城市出口技术复杂度研究——基于“宽带中国”战略的准自然实验

Research on network infrastructure construction and technical complexity of urban export--A quasi-natural experiment based on the Broadband China strategy

在全球数字化浪潮下,网络基础设施建设作为数字经济的重要支撑,为城市经济和外贸高质量发展增添了动力。基于2007—2019年城市面板数据,采用多期DID模型探讨网络基础设施建设对城市出口技术复杂度的影响及作用机制。结果表明:网络基础设施建设有利于提升城市出口技术复杂度,其中,创新能力提升、产业结构升级和贸易成本降低是网络基础设施建设影响城市出口技术复杂度的三条主要作用路径;异质性分析发现,网络基础设施建设在城市群内部、金融发展水平较高以及传统基础设施发展较好的城市中更有利于城市出口技术复杂度的提升;进一步分析表明,网络基础设施建设在促进本地出口技术复杂度的同时,也带动了邻近地区出口技术的升级。根据研究结论,提出了深入推进网络基础设施建设、提升出口技术复杂度、助力外贸高质量发展的对策建议。

Under the global digital wave,network infrastructure construction,as an important support for the digital economy,has added impetus to the high-quality development of urban economy and foreign trade.Based on the urban panel data from 2007 to 2019,this paper uses a multi-phase DID model to explore the impact of network infrastructure construction on the technical complexity of urban export and its mechanism.The results show that the construction of network infrastructure is beneficial for improving the complexity of urban export technology,among which the improvement of innovation capability,upgrading of industrial structure,and reduction of trade costs are the three main paths of network infrastructure construction affecting the complexity of urban export technology;Heterogeneity analysis shows that network infrastructure construction is more conducive to increasing the complexity of urban export technology within urban agglomerations,the cities with higher levels of financial development,and the cities with better traditional infrastructure development;Further analysis shows that the construction of network infrastructure not only promotes the complexity of local export technology,but also drives the upgrading of export technology in the neighboring regions.According to the conclusion,it is necessary to further promote the construction of network infrastructure,enhance the technical complexity of export,and help the high-quality development of foreign trade.
