With the widespread adoption of smart media,particularly smartphones,the evolution of media technology and its extensive social applications has ushered in the era of Smart Media,contributing to the establishment of a new digital society infrastructure.However,despite the increasing technologization and mediation of society,the digital divide is concurrently intensifying and escalating,emerging as a global social challenge.In the age of smart media,the digital divide continues to manifest new challenges related to gender,class,age,generation,and more.Simultaneously,it has spurred the deepening and expansion of traditional digital divide theories concerning its generation basis,core representation,and technological logic.Confronted with this global digital divide issue,it becomes imperative to uphold value rationality,institutional rationality,and practical rationality in technology application.Bridging the digital divide necessitates comprehensive governance,fostering a collaborative effort to achieve a more inclusive and improved digital life for all.
