严自完选取诸家注解汇纂而成的《春秋要解》,是明代《春秋》学孤本文献,学界尚无涉足研究。严自完《春秋要解》的特点主要表现为:博取众言、贬责有理、以礼解经和重视经义。《春秋要解》的解经思路是为追求更好地发明圣人之心,这为后世读者理解《春秋》经义提供了极大便利。

The Spring and Autumn Annals Interpretation,compiled by Yan Ziwan,a Ming scholar,in selecting various annotations,is a unique document to the Studies on Spring and Autumn Annals in Ming Dynasty,which has not yet been given research in academic field.The characteristics of Yan Ziwan’s interpretation on Spring and Autumn Annals are mainly manifested in the points of absorbing opinions from others,criticizing but rationalizing cementation,interpreting the scriptures with courtesy,and valuing the meaning of the scriptures.The aim of his interpretation is to pursue a better way to present of the sage’s heart,which provides great convenience for future readers to understand the meaning of the scriptures in Spring and Autumn Annals.
