西南联大时期是雷海宗学术活动的高峰期。在此期间,他出版《中国文化与中国的兵》一书,享誉全国;他参与创办编辑多份刊物,尤以《战国策》及其副刊最为突出,由此形成轰动一时的“战国策派”;他关心时政,发表大量时政文章,由书斋型学者逐渐转变为时政型学者。

Lei Haizong’s academic activities reached the peak in the period of Southwest Associated University.During this period,he published his masterpiece Chinese Culture and Chinese Soldiers,which gained nationwide fame.He also participated in the establishment and editing of multiple publications,with The Warring States Strategy and its supplements being the most prominent,forming the“school of warring state strategy”that caused a sensation.Moreover,he cared about current politics and published a large number of political articles,gradually transforming from a studyoriented scholar to a political one.
