Brief Comments on Reinterpretation of Geographical Information in Local Records

对传统文献中的地理信息进行不断重释,是我国历史地理编纂中的一种重要方法,自汉晋以来已成大观。方志是历史上汇集地理资料最丰厚的文献之一,其中的信息浩如烟海。通过传统与现代相结合的方法对这些信息开展重释,有助于更好地理解方志文献,梳理城市文脉的传承,将其中“沉睡”的文字化为今日可以多方面使用的资料,应用于现代经济社会生活的各方面,对于实现修志为用这一方志基本目标,起到开山凿石的基础之功,这也是方志文化回应社会需求的必由之径。

Constant reinterpretation of geographical information in traditional literature was an important method in historical geographical compilations of China that had become a major spectacle since the Han and Jin Period.Local records as one of the historical literature with an accumulation of the richest geographical references,contain information as abundant as the ocean.Reinterpreting these information with methods that combine tradition with modernity,is conducive to better understandings of local records literature,clarification of urban literary inheritance,transforming texts in“deep sleep”among them into references that can be used today from various aspects,and applying flexibly to various aspects of modern economic and social life.To realize the basic aim of local records compilation for actual application,this plays the fundamental role of blazing the trail in a mountainous terrain,and functions as the inevitable path for local records culture to correspond to social demands.
