Significance of radical resection for advanced gallbladder carcinoma

Gallbladder cancer has high malignancy and poor prognosis.Radical resection is helpful in achieving the longterm survival of patients with advanced gallbladder cancer,however,the difficulties lie in the resection extent and the thoroughness of lymph node dissection.In recent years,combining surgical treatment with new adjuvant therapy has changed the traditional treatment mode of gallbladder cancer,which greatly improved the efficacy of surgical treatment and brought new hope for patients with advanced gallbladder cancer.
