Based on the data from 2011 to 2019,this paper explores the impact of digital economy on common prosperity and its realization path based on the provincial panel data from 2011 to 2019.The results of the study show that the digital economy is conducive to promoting social production prosperity, people's living prosperity and common prosperity in urban and rural areas. However, the digital economy has not yet coordinated on the path of achieving regional"prosperity"and"common prosperity",that is,the“prosperity”effect played by the digital economy in the developed areas is strong, but the"common prosperity"effect is weak;the"common prosperity"effect played in the underdeveloped areas is strong, but the"prosperity"effect is weak. The study believes that promoting the upgrading and adjustment of industrial structure, building a positive environment for innovation and entrepreneurship, and promoting the green development of agriculture are the main paths for the digital economy to achieve"prosperity",and also the core breakthrough point for underdeveloped areas to consolidate the material foundation of common prosperity;and promoting industrial diversification and agglomeration and accelerating the development of productive service in-dustries are important channels for the digital economy to achieve"common prosperity",and are also the key focus of developed regions to promote urban and rural common prosperity.
