Smart IoT applications based on edge computing technology are introduced.Firstly,the characteristics and development status of intelligent IoT,and the definition and characteristics of edge computing technology are briefly outlined.Secondly,the role and advantages of edge computing technology in smart IoT are discussed,as well as its help in function expansion and performance improvement for the realisation of smart IoT applications.Then,the architectural framework of smart IoT applications based on edge computing and how edge computing technology can be adopted to achieve smart cloud collaboration are presented.Then,data processing,network transmission and application security issues in edge computing technology are discussed in depth.Finally,the practical value of edge computing technology in smart IoT applications is demonstrated by presenting application cases of edge computing technology in areas such as intelligence of IoT technology.
