Objective To investigate the treatment method and application effect of fetal head rotation method for diffi-cult labor in occipital posterior position. Methods A total of 180 patients with posterior occipital dystocia treated in the First People's Hospital of Jiayuguan City from March 2020 to March 2023 were selected as the study objects, and were divided into control group and observation group according to different treatment methods, with 90 cases in each group. The control group received conventional treatment, and observed the treatment of group receiving fetal head ro-tation.The methods of delivery and appearance pulse grimace activity respiration(Apgar)were compared between the two groups. Results The vaginal delivery rate of the observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group, and the cesarean section rate and forceps or fetal aspiration midwifery rate of the observation group were signifi-cantly lower than those of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The Apgar score in the observation group was significantly higher than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically sig-nificant(P<0.05).Conclusion The application of fetal head rotation method in the treatment of difficult labor in oc-cipital posterior position can significantly improve the rate of normal delivery and fetal Apgar score.
