摘要
《观看美杜莎》是英国拉斐尔前派画家兼诗人罗塞蒂绘制的一幅画作,另有一首同名诗作。国内外已有研究多是对诗歌内容的解读或是涉及美杜莎形象的文化研究,对诗画互动关系的探索尚有较大的空间。论文从跨艺术诗学的视角出发,还原《观看美杜莎》从“诗画同框”到“诗画分离”的曲折过程,探析《观看美杜莎》中的诗画互补关系,从而揭示罗塞蒂的跨艺术创作理念。通过对美杜莎故事的隐喻和改写,罗塞蒂在作品中传达了自己对诗画关系乃至艺术本质的理解一一代表“纯粹理念”的美杜莎是不可直视的,而艺术作为中介向我们传达这一理念。罗塞蒂的诗画组合通过对美杜莎神话的跨艺术再现,也为读者/观者提供了多重的解读空间和审美体验。
Aspecta Medusa is a painting by Rossetti the British Pre-Raphaelite painter and poet,and there is a poem of the same title.Most of the scholarship are interpretations or cultural studies of the poem concerning the image of Medusa and yet more in-depth analysis of the collaboration and interaction between poetry and painting needs to be made.From the perspective of interart poetics,this essay restores the tortuous process of Aspecta Medusa from"poetry and painting in the same frame"to"separation of poetry and painting",and explores the word-image complementation in Aspecta Medusa,thereby revealing Rossetti's concept of interart creation.Rossetti conveys his understanding of the word-image relationship and even the truth of art in his works through the metaphorical rewriting of the myth of Medusa:Medusa,which represents"a pure ideal",cannot be gazed directly,and the arts can mediate the"pure ideal"to us;Andromeda is eager to see the head of Medusa,just as the artist longs to convey the ineffable"pure ideal".Rossetti's combination of sister arts provides readers/viewers with multiple interpretations and aesthetic experiences through the interart representations of the myth.
