《坚如磐石》是导演张艺谋与编剧陈宇合作的影片,具有扎实的文本创作基础。电影以副市长郑刚与金融巨商黎志田两人几十年间的利益纠葛为基础,叠加年轻警察苏见明在探案过程中走向成长的情节线,刻画人性的丰富性与暧昧性,营造出危机四伏且微妙恐怖平衡的关系情境,构建起信息量丰富的社会图景。编剧陈宇在此次访谈中对电影的创作缘起、准备事项、人物设置、结构搭建、空间选择、电影美学与叙事观念等方面进行了一次全景式、多维度、纵深化的剖析。

Under the Light is the work contributed by director Zhang Yimou and screenwriter Chen Yu. The story is mainly about the decade-long struggle between deputy mayor Zheng Gang and financial magnate Li Zhitian, also presents the growth of young police officer Su Zhiming in the process of case detection, portraying the diversification and ambiguity of human nature, and creating a crisis-ridden atmosphere. Screenwriter Chen Yu presents a panoramic, multi-dimensional, and in-depth analysis of the film in terms of its origin, preparation, characterization, structure, choice of space, film aesthetics, and narrative concept.
