An Analysis of the Competitive Landscape of Wushu in Asia from the Medal Distribution Patterns of Wushu at the Hangzhou Asian Games

本文运用文献资料法、数理统计法以及逻辑分析法等研究方法,对杭州第19届亚运会武术项目的奖牌区域分布特征进行研究剖析,归纳总结亚洲范围内各区域地理之间的武术项目竞争水平,分析最具代表性的中华民族传统体育项目——武术在亚洲的竞技格局。结果表明:杭州第19届亚运会武术项目区域地理奖牌分布极不均匀,各地区武术竞技水平差距较大,东亚武术项目竞技水平最高,东南亚、西亚紧随其后,中亚、南亚相对落后,北亚武术项目发展严重不足。当前武术国际化进程正在不断加速,规则分类、理论建设、人才培养、产业规划等问题是武术项目扩大完善国际竞技格局的主要阻碍。中国武术代表队在本次杭州亚运会上取得了11金的优秀成绩,据此分析中华民族传统体育武术项目在亚洲范围内的竞技格局现状,可为推动武术项目的国际化发展提供参考。

This article employs research methodologies,including literature review,mathematical statistics,and logical analysis,to conduct a comprehensive study of the geographical distribution characteristics of medals in Wushu events at the 19th Hangzhou Asian Games.It synthesizes and summarizes the levels of competition in Wushu projects across various regions within Asia,with a focus on the analysis of the most emblematic traditional sport of the Chinese nation,Wushu,and its position in the competitive landscape in Asia.The findings reveal a highly uneven distribution of medals in Wushu events at the 19th Hangzhou Asian Games,with significant variations in the competitive standards of Wushu in different regions.East Asia exhibits the highest level of Wushu competition,closely trailed by Southeast Asia and West Asia,while Central Asia and South Asia lag behind,and North Asia faces substantial developmental deficiencies in Wushu projects.The ongoing process of Wushu internationalization is gaining momentum,with challenges such as rule categorization,theoretical development,talent cultivation,and industry planning emerging as key impediments to the expansion and refinement of Wushu in the international competitive landscape.The Chinese Wushu team secured an impressive tally of 11 gold medals at the Hangzhou Asian Games.Analyzing the current competitive landscape of Chinese traditional Wushu sports within the Asian context can serve as a valuable reference for advancing the internationalization of Wushu projects.
