Breeding Report of a New Tea Cultivar'Jingshan 1'(Camellia sinensis)

径山1号是从余杭径山鸠坑群体种中,经单株选择、系统选育而成的新品种。该品种属灌木型、中叶类、中生种,具有发芽整齐、内含物质丰富、品质优、持嫩性强等特点。春季一芽二叶茶多酚含量为21.7%、氨基酸3.4%、咖啡碱2.6%、水浸出物51.6%。适制绿茶,尤其适宜加工径山茶等卷曲形名茶,加工的卷曲形名茶外形紧结、较翠绿、略有毫,汤色嫩绿明亮,香气高鲜馥郁,滋味清鲜甘和,叶底嫩匀、尚绿。抗寒、抗旱、抗病虫性较强,适宜在浙江及具有相似气候条件的茶区种植推广。

Camellia sinensis cv.'Jingshan 1'is an excellent tea cultivar which was bred from single plant population and systematic breeding from the Jingshan Jiukeng populationin Yuhang.The cultivar is a shrub type,with medium-sized leaves and medium sprouting time in spring.It shows the characteristics of consistent flushing time,good shoot tenderness,rich in water-soluble extracts and excellent sensory quality.The contents of tea polyphenols,amino acids,caffeine,and water extracts were 21.70%,3.40%,2.60%,and 51.60%,respectively.The shoots are suitable for processing green tea,especially suitable for processing famous teas with curly appearance such as Jingshan tea.The processed curly teas are tight and firm in shape,bright delicate green in liquor color,fragrant and lasting in aroma,fresh and mellow in taste,and tender and greenish in infused leaves.It has strong resistance to cold,drought,disease and insect.It is suitable for planting and promotion in tea areas with similar climatic conditions in Zhejiang.
