民国时期,旧体文学在时代的洪流下试图通过文学革命的方式完成自我救赎,词界缺席了这场革命。但从卢前的词学活动可以看到明显的词界革命趋势,他在正变论上肯定“变”,主张创作具有民族气魄的豪放词,以笔墨唤醒山河。他通过批判常州词派对温词的遮蔽,要求打破比兴寄托对词体的束缚,指明当时时代背景下词体尊体的新方向。与此同时,社会局势的变迁又促使中西文论、新旧词学思想在卢前身上融会贯通,最终传统词在新时代感召下有了新的突破,形成了民国词坛新气象。

During the Republican period,LuQian's thought of Ci and composition can be seen in the obvious revolutionary trend.He affirms the "Change",advocating the bold and powerful words.He criticizes the ChangZhou Ci School for their interpretation of WenTingyun's Ci,and demands that the fetters on the style of Ci be broken,pointing to a new direction of Ci in the context of the times.At the same time,the change of social situation also promotes LuQian to absorb Chinese and Western literary theory and the thought of old and new Ci studies.Finally,the traditional Ci has been made a new breakthrough in the new era,formed a new situation in the Republic of China.
