Francois Jost on the Development of Film Narratology

弗朗索瓦·若斯特是法国著名符号学家,巴黎第三大学(新索邦大学)教授。有别于大部分符号学学者,若斯特在最初的符号学理论盛行阶段,采用了实用主义的方法论。20世纪70年代开始,他着手于电影叙事方面的研究,取得了丰硕的学术成果。本次访谈简要提及了若斯特先生的研究经历,结合他本人关于电影叙事学基础概念、观看者视角等阐述,探讨了电影叙事学发展中的叙事机制、数字技术、未来展望等方面内容。

Francois Jost is a famous French semiotician and professor at the University of ParisⅢ(Universitéde la Sorbonne Nouvelle).Different from most semiotics scholars in theoretical studies,Jost adopted a pragmatic methodology in the initial stage of the prevailing semiotic theory.Since the 1970s,he began to study film narrative,during which he has achieved fruitful academic achievements.This interview briefly mentions Mr.Jost's research experience,and discusses the narrative mechanism,digital technology and future prospect in the development of film narratology in combination with his explanation of the basic concepts of film narratology and the viewer's perspective.
