Field Signature Method(FSM)is a non-destructive testing method with extremely high precision,which can effectively detect metal corrosion defects,and its accuracy and reliability far exceed other non-destructive testing methods,and has been widely used in the field of industrial metal pipeline corrosion defect detection.With the field fingerprint detection method as the theme,the principle and characteristics of the field fingerprint detection method are expounded,the emergence and development process of the field fingerprint detection method are introduced,some shortcomings of the current field fingerprint detection technology are pointed out,and the development prospects of FSM are prospected.
