摘要
印度进步作家拉盖伊·拉克夫于1952年出版的长篇小说《阁下大人》凭借叙事者小狗杰克呈现了跨越时间与空间隔阂的流动叙事。杰克的非人类性、属下性和流动性共同赋予了它一个具有反思和批判能力的、自下而上的、去中心化的视角。从这个视角出发,这部小说深刻批判了英国殖民主义与印度民族主义,并揭示出二者之间的延续性与同构性。小说中的社会批判与20世纪70年代起西方精英学术界倡导的后殖民主义批评具有异曲同工之妙,表达了一种印度本土后殖民主义思想。在跨国知识生产语境中重读这部小说,对于重新发现前殖民地国家民族语言文学的思想贡献具有启发意义。
Indian progressive writer Rangey Raghav's novel Huzur,published in 1952,presents a narrative of mobility across time and space through the non-human narrator,a puppy named Jack.Jack's in-born non-humanness,subalternity,and mobility together endow it with a reflective,critical,bottom-up decentralising perspective.Through such a perspective,this progressive novel profoundly criticises both British colonialism and Indian nationalism,and reveals the continuity and homogeneity between them.Thus,the social critique in Huzur produces an indigenous version of Indian postcolonialism,preluding the postcolonial criticism that would later flourish from the 1970s in Western academia.Reengaging the novel in the context of transnational knowledge production is instructive in revealing the intellectual contribution of vernacular language and literature of former colonial countries like India.
