台州(“台”字读作tai)是一座既古老又年轻的滨海城市,地处中国“南北中心点,海陆交界处”。陆域面积10050平方千米,海域面积6910平方千米,辖3个区、3个县级市、3个县以及台州湾新区,常住人口666.1万人,2021年地区生产总值5786亿元。台州自然风光雄奇神秀,有“海山仙子国,万象图画里”之誉;人文景观内涵丰厚,有“佛宗道源,和合圣地”之称。习近平总书记在浙江工作期间,15次到台州考察调研,对台州再创民营经济新辉煌、弘扬大陈岛垦荒精神等做出重要指示批示,成为台州发展的方向指引和动力源泉。
Taizhou,with its beautiful scenery and profound cultural background,is a coastal city with both ancient and modern charm.It covers a land area of 10,050 square kilometers and a sea area of 6,910 square kilometers,with jurisdiction over three districts,three county-level cities,three counties as well as Taizhou Bay New District.Its permanent population is 6.661 million and its GDP reached 578.6 bllion yuan in 2021.
