Research Progress in Imaging of Inflammatory Tissue Related to Knee Osteoarthritis

膝骨关节炎(KOA)是一种以关节软骨退变及滑膜炎症为特征的慢性致残性疾病,关节内呈现广泛的慢性低度炎症,膝周组织结构受累,影像学检查可甄别相应病理变化。然而,KOA确诊时已发生的病理结构损害无法逆转,故借助影像学手段尽早发现和诊治KOA是延缓患者病情发展的重要方式。近年来,随着人工智能、现代影像组学技术的快速发展,影像学技术在KOA病情评估、诊治预测中发挥重要作用,受累组织影像改变及症状表现的相关研究已取得一定进展,但未来仍需深入研究KOA早期病理改变及影像学表现间的联系,以为KOA临床诊治和预后评判提供参考。

Knee osteoarthritis(KOA)is a chronic disabling disease characterized by articular cartilage degeneration and synovitis.It presents with extensive chronic low-grade inflammation within the joint,involving the surrounding tissue structure of the knee,and imaging examination can identify corresponding pathological changes.However,the pathological structural damage already existing at the time of diagnosis of KOA cannot be reversed,so using imaging methods to detect and diagnose KOA as early as possible is an important way to delay the development of the patient′s condition.In recent years,with the rapid development of artificial intelligence and modern imaging omics technology,imaging technology is playing an important role in the assessment and prediction of KOA′s condition.Research on imaging changes and symptom manifestations of the affected tissues has made some progress,but in the future,further research is still needed on the relationship between early pathological changes and imaging manifestations of KOA,so as to provide reference for the clinical diagnosis,treatment,and prognosis evaluation of KOA.
