清华大学图书馆西文古籍修复实践浅说

On the Conservation Practice of Western Ancient Books in Tsinghua University Library

近年来,国内日益重视古籍保护,但西文古籍的保护和开发利用却少有人关注。清华大学图书馆对古籍保护与修复工作一直秉持着传承和创新并行的理念。作为西文古籍收藏的重要单位,在摸清馆藏家底的基础上,力图对其保护修复探索有效路径。本文以馆藏《约翰·洛克著作集》的修复为个案,从修复预案、材料准备及制作、书脊与局部细节处理等一系列西文古籍的修复实践出发,探讨西文古籍修复的可能性及其意义。

In recent years,more and more attention has been paid to the protection of ancient books in China,but little attention has been paid to the protection,development and utilization of ancient books in Western languages.Tsinghua University Library has always adhered to the concept of inheritance and innovation in the protection and restoration of ancient books.As an important unit of collection of Western ancient books,we try to explore effective ways to protect and repair them on the basis of finding out the details of the collection.This paper discusses the possibility and significance of the restoration of Western ancient books through a series of practice of the restoration of Western ancient books,such as the production and restoration plan,material preparation and production,spine treatment,and local details of the collection of John Locke's Works.
