摘要
针对碳纤维增强聚苯硫醚复合材料的特点,在前期研究了硫对界面的作用之后,制备了一种含硫复合上浆剂,即在聚乙二醇600和邻苯二甲酸酐单体水溶液中加入硫磺作为活性组分并乳化得到的乳液。利用X射线光电子能谱、扫描电子显微镜和万能试验机对改性前后的碳纤维以及其复合材料的层间剪切性能进行了研究。结果表明:含硫上浆剂使复合材料层间剪切强度达到70MPa,相比未上浆碳纤维提升了20.7%;界面性能的提高源自于硫磺的化学活性,而树脂单体在干燥热处理过程中在碳纤维表面原位聚合,起到了上浆剂集束的作用,同时没有影响树脂与纤维的浸润及硫的化学作用。
A composite sizing agent containing sulfur was prepared for carbon fiber reinforced polyphenyl-ene sulfide composites,i.e.,an emulsion obtained by adding sulfur as the active component to an aqueous solution of polyethylene glycol 600 and phthalic anhydride monomer and emulsifying it after a preliminary study of the effect of sulfur on the interface.The layer shear properties of carbon fibers and their composites before and after modification were investigated by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy,scanning electron mi-croscopy and universal testing machine.The results show that the sulfur-containing sizing agent results in an interlaminar shear strength of 70 MPa for the composites,which is 20.7%higher compared to unsized carbon fibers,and the improvement of the interfacial properties originates from the chemical activity of sul-fur,while the resin monomer polymerizes in situ on the carbon fiber surface during the drying and heat treat-ment process,which acts as a sizing agent set,without affecting the resin-fiber infiltration and the chemical action of sulfur.
