“刺客”论析

An Analysis of "Assassins"

“刺客”之名,源起于司马迁的《史记·刺客列传》,但自古以来,基于不同理由而进行刺杀行动的事件,层出不穷。“刺客”之进行刺杀行动,往往是受托于人,故有“客”之称,其主结纳的方式,一是“恩义以结之”,二是“财贿以赂之”,司马迁特别强调“恩义”,并将其笔下的刺客与游侠并举,其实乃是同源的;但东汉以后,因“财贿”而刺杀的,逐渐增多,甚至有“会任之家”的专门组织,在历代皆不乏此例。但在晚清之时,新出一种“因政治理念”的不同,而进行刺杀的“刺客”,历来对这种刺客都颇加推崇,实则其中对人性的扭曲、对正义的误解,却是非常危险的。

The name "Assassin" originated from Sima Qian's "Records of the Grand Historian:Biographies of Assassins",but since ancient times,there have been numerous incidents of assassination operations based on different reasons.Assassins,often called "guest",carry out assassination conducts under the trust of others.They were persuaded mainly through kindness and righteousness,or financial bribery.Sima Qian emphasized the former in his writings,and compared the assassins and rangers,which are actually of the same origin.But after the Eastern Han Dynasty,the number of assassinations due to financial bribery gradually increased,and there were even specialized organizations,which were not uncommon throughout history.But in the late Qing Dynasty,a new type of "assassin" emerged who carried out assassinations due to disagreements in political beliefs.This kind of assassin has always been highly respected,but in reality,the distortion of human nature and the misunderstanding of justice are very dangerous.
