Baoxiang flower pattern is a Chinese plant pattern,it is one of the plant and flower patterns with the most national characteristics,and a classic work that combines foreign and local cultures,reflecting the unique cultural phenomena of Tang Dynasty.Baoxiang flower pattern was widely used in arts and crafts outs ide of Buddhism,becoming a representative of Tang Dynasty plant patterns.With its rich imagination and beautiful meanings,it was deeply loved by various social classes at that time,and had a profound impact on the decorative patterns at that time.This paper studies the process of its emergence and evolution,analyzes the characteristics of its pattern design,which is helpful for making the past serve the present.
