近现代以来,现代性变迁作为重大变量牵动着中国社会各个方面的变化,现代意义的“中—西”关系也由此形成。“中—西”关系视野呈现出中国现代化进程,而对美好生活的追求是这一过程的一个重要内容。美好生活诉求在西方思想中有一些阐述,在中华传统文化中长久以来是理想憧憬。进入新时代以来,中国式现代化的伟大实践愈益快速、广泛而深入地推进,经济和社会的高质量发展,人民的美好生活诉求不再局限于理想憧憬,成为国家的清晰目标和政府的重要责任。随着当代中国的持续变革和中国式现代化的不断推进,东方与西方、中国与世界之间的互会和互义也在更新,为“中—西”关系添加了一系列现实因素和实际变量。这一过程将不断展现出中国式现代化对于促进全球社会进步和构建人类命运共同体以及不断趋近美好生活诉求这一目标的重要贡献。

Since entering the threshold of modernity,the change of modernity,as an important historical variable,has affected the changes of Chinese society in all aspects,and“China-West”relationship in modern sense has also been formed.The perspective of“China-West”relationship presents China’s modernization process,which is the rich content of the pursuit of a better life.The pursuit of a better life has been elaborated in Western thought,and has long been an ideal aspiration in traditional Chinese culture.Since entering the new era,the great practice of a Chinese path to modernization has been promoted more and more rapidly,extensively and deeply,and high-quality economic and social development and the people’s pursuit of a better life have become an important part of the national goal and government responsibility.With the continuous transformation of contemporary China and the continuous advancement of a Chinese path to modernization,the mutual understanding and interpretation between East and West,China and the world are also being updated,and“China-West”relationship is still a series of realistic factors and practical variables that must be dealt with.This process will continue to demonstrate the important contribution of a Chinese path to modernization to promoting global social progress,building a community with a shared future for mankind and creating a new form of human civilization.
