Satellite communication is an important communication method widely used in long-distance communication and broadcasting fields.However,due to the unstable and diverse channel characteristics in satellite communication,traditional modulation and coding techniques often fail to meet practical requirements.Therefore,adaptive modulation and coding techniques have received extensive attention and research in satellite communication.This article first presents the problems and challenges in satellite communication and discusses the potential of adaptive modulation and coding techniques in addressing these issues.Subsequently,key technologies and algorithms of adaptive modulation and coding techniques are introduced,and their applications in satellite communication are analyzed through practical case studies.Finally,the performance of adaptive modulation and coding techniques in satellite communication is evaluated and compared,aiming to provide a theoretical and practical foundation for adaptive modulation and coding techniques in satellite communication.
