瓦格耐尔与日本陶瓷教育近代化

Gottfried Wagener and the Modernization of the Ceramics Education in Japan

明治维新后,日本陶瓷业迅速实现了近代化转型,这既得益于“殖产兴业”国策的推动,也与日本陶瓷教育近代化的过程密不可分。德国化学家瓦格耐尔于1868年抵日后一直从事陶瓷教育、陶瓷科学研究等工作,本文通过对相关史料的爬梳,回顾了瓦格耐尔在日期间所开展的陶瓷教育与科研活动,总结了他在日本传播近代陶瓷科学知识,为日本培养近代陶瓷科技人才等过程,认为其对日本陶瓷教育近代化做出了重要贡献。

Since the Meiji Restoration,the Japanese ceramics industry realized the modernization transformation,which is drived by the national policy of"Industry Breeding and Business Initiating Policy"and is closely related to the modernization of the ceramics education in Japan.Gottfried Wagener,a German chemist,engaged in the education and scientific researches concerned with ceramics since he reached Japan in 1868.By combing the literature,this essay takes a review of the ceramics education and scientific researches he conducted in Japan and summaries the process when he disseminated modern ceramic science in Japan and cultivated the ceramics talents for the modern Japan,drawing a conclusion that he made a great contribution to the the modernization of the ceramics education in Japan.
