中国当代小说英译出版的全景式勾勒——《中国当代小说英译出版研究》介评

中国文学外译一直是学界关注的重点,然而作为文学外译重要一环的出版则较少受到关注。由浙江大学出版社出版、王颖冲撰写的《中国当代小说英译出版研究》则是文学外译出版研究最新的成果之一。该书以1949至2019年出版的中国当代小说英译单行本和小说集为研究对象,从时间和空间2个层面对其进行全景式呈现。该作填补了学术空白,对后人研究具有借鉴意义,同时也为中国文学“走出去”提供了有益的策略与参考。本文结合该书内容,归纳了其写作特色、理论价值和实践价值,以期引起翻译学界同人的重视和关注。

The foreign translation of Chinese literature has always been the focus of academia,but publication,an important part of literary translation,has received less attention.Published by Zhejiang University Press and authored by Wang Yingchong,Study on the Publication of Contemporary Chinese Novels in English Translation is one of the latest achievements in the study of the publication of literature translated in foreign languages.The book takes the single-volume and collections of contemporary Chinese novels published in English translation from 1949 to 2019 as the object of study,and presents a panoramic view of them from two levels:time and space.This work fills a gap in the scholarship and has methodological significance for future research,and also provides useful strategies and references for the“going global”of Chinese literature.This article summarizes the characteristics,theoretical and practical values of the book,with the hope to draw the attention of colleagues in the field of translation.
