The shaping of animated characters and their artistic expression are the key to determining the success of animated works.To promote the development of Chinese animation in a better direction,it is first necessary to create animated character images with ethnic customs,reflecting humanistic spirit,regional culture,and other connotations,in order to create distinctive and profound ethnic style animated works.This article analyzes the application of animated characters in folk art forms such as Beijing Opera facial makeup,shadow puppetry,traditional window decorations,traditional patterns,folk five element colors,traditional opera,and traditional New Year paintings.
