Current status and research progress of treatment of DMSO-containing wastewater in TFT-LCD industry

二甲基亚砜(DMSO)是一种重要的有机溶剂,在TFT-LCD行业中广泛用作洗涤剂或脱色剂,源自洗涤或漂洗过程的有机废水通常含有500~800 mg/L DMSO。DMSO是不易生物降解的有机污染物,且在厌氧生物降解过程中易产生有害硫化物,对人体和环境造成损害。综述了近些年国内外处理DMSO废水的研究进展,总结了各类处理工艺的反应机理及应用案例,探究了组合工艺处理DMSO废水的潜力,并针对DMSO废水的处理前景进行了展望。

Dimethyl sulfoxide(DMSO)is an important organic solvent widely used in TFT-LCD industry as detergent or decolorizer.Organic wastewater from washing or rinsing process contains 500-800 mg/L DMSO.DMSO is an organic pollutant that is not easily biodegradable,and it is easy to produce harmflul sulfides during anaerobic biodegradation,which can cause damage to human body and environment.The research progress of DMSO wastewater treatment at home and aborad in recent years were elaborated,the reaction mechansim as well as application cases of different treatment processes were summarized,the potential of the combined process treating DMSO wastewater was explored,and the prospect of DMOS-containing wastewater treatment was prospected.
