Japan's Role in the Traditional International Order in East Asia

在东亚国际秩序发展演变的过程中,日本对其角色发展空间的探索及其影响十分突出。近代以前,在以中国为中心的“华夷秩序”框架内,日本作为一个偏居东亚一隅的落后小国,始终存在自我角色定位与他者对日本角色期望之间难以调和的矛盾。日本在长期汲取大陆文明的过程中实现自我创新,并根据外部环境及自身实力的变化,渐生自我认同的自立意识,进而不断转换对自己和他者的角色定位,试图寻找合适的契机实现本国的角色定位,最终在功利性价值取向的支配下,在传统的东亚国际关系中扮演“游离者”的角色。

In the history of East Asia,Japan's role development and its influence are very prominent.Before modern times,just located in a corner of East Asia,Japan's own role positioning and Japan's image in other countries always conflicted.By learning and innovation,Japan gradually developed a lot,and constantly changed its images and role positioning.Finally,under the domination of the utilitarianism,Japan always are inconsistent with other East Asian countries.
