In order to cope with the increasing demand for transportation,improve road quality,and reduce construction costs,intelligent compaction technology has become an important tool in the field of road construction.We explored the basic principles and classifications of intelligent compaction technology,analyzed the challenges and needs of asphalt pavement construction in Africa,and demonstrated the advantages and effects of intelligent compaction technology by studying the application case of intelligent compaction technology in asphalt pavement construction of a certain project in Africa.In addition,we also discussed the challenges and future development trends in the application of technology,and proposed policy recommendations to promote the widespread application of technology.Through this study,we will demonstrate the potential of intelligent compaction technology in road construction in Africa and how it can provide assistance for road quality and sustainability.
