As external investment is an important way for tourism groups to expand their markets,it is of great significance to grasp the geographical rules of tourism groups external investment for the selection and optimization of investment locations. This paper analyzes the spatial pattern and investment network of domestic investment locations of large tourism groups in China by GIS spatial analysis, grid dimension model, complex network analysis and other methods. The study indicates that the spatial distribution of domestic investment locations of large tourism groups is highly unbalanced, presenting a gradient distribution characteristic of“more in the east but less in the west”;the Yangtze River Delta and Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Region are the hot areas for investment;the investment of large tourism groups has strong geographical grounding, and most of them prefer local site for investment;the spatial distance has a strong constraint on the investment and the distance attenuation is obvious;the overall investment network structure of large tourism groups is relatively loose, forming a network structure with Beijing as the core but lacking secondary core nodes;the investment network of large tourism groups features remarkable community structure, and the scale and development degree of network communities are quite different, showing a polarization pattern of“one being strong but more being weak”.
