突发公共事件对地域文化定型的影响:“武汉”在大学生群体中的心理意义

The Impact of Emergent Public Event on Regional Stereotypes:Psychological Meanings of“Wuhan”among Chinese University Students

为探究突发公共事件对地域文化定型的影响,本研究考察了“武汉”一词在大学生群体中的心理意义。研究采用联想组合分析法,于2020年3月16日至3月27日采集了607名在校大学生对“武汉”一词的限时自由联想,并进行归类分析。结果发现大学生群体中“武汉”的心理意义七成以城市的客观性“硬”信息为主,三成与突发事件社会和心理方面的“软”信息为主。离武汉越近的大学生对城市联想越多,对突发事件联想越少,符合风险认知的“心理台风眼效应”。在主观反应方面,距离武汉越近,与突发事件有关的个人负性情绪越多,符合“涟漪效应”。研究讨论了突发公共卫生事件对地域文化定型的影响,为应急语言服务提出了建议。

In order to investigate the impact of emergent public event on regional stereotypes,this study examined the psychological meanings of“Wuhan”among Chinese university students.Using Associative Group Analysis(AGA),the study collected and analyzed timed free associations of“Wuhan”among 607 Chinese university students from March 16 to March 27,2020.It found that 70%of the associated words with“Wuhan”was“hard”factual information of Wuhan city,and 30%was“soft”psychological and social information of an emergent public event.Evidence of the“Psychological Typhoon Eye Effect”was found:the closer the students were located from Wuhan,the more associations they had with the city itself,and the fewer with the emergent event.However,in terms of subjective reactions,the“Ripple Effect”was found:the closer the students were located from Wuhan,the more negative emotions with regards to the emergent event they had.The study discussed the impact of public health emergency on regional stereotypes,and provided suggestions for emergency language service.
