β-arrestin2 is a kind of intracellular protein with multiple biological functions. It can not only negatively regulate GPCR signal pathway by competitively binding to G protein-coupled receptor(GPCR)with G protein, but also participate in regulating multiple signal transduction pathways through G protein independent pathways, which is critical to the stability of cardiovascular system. In addition, the abnormal expression ofβ-arrestin2 is associated with hypertension, heart failure, myocardial ischemia-reperfusion injury, ventricular remodeling, arteriosclerosis and aneurysm. This paper introduces the research progress ofβ-arrestin2 in the field of cardiovascular disease, and expounds the structure, function, role and related molecular mechanism ofβ-arrestin2 in inflammatory reaction and cell metabolism, aiming to provide new ideas and methods for the prevention and treatment of cardiovascular diseases.
