摘要
CDIO作为工程教育理念,其教育模式具有实践性、系统性、可操作性的特点,弥补了传统教学“轻实践、重理论”的不足。为更好地适应新医科建设对大学英语教学的要求,提升新医科建设院校专业人才外语能力培养质量,基于CDIO理念的医学院校大学英语教学将工程教育理念的实践模式与多模态符号的应用相结合,从课程设置、教学内容、教学互动、教学手段和教学评估五个方面构建多模态教学模式,有效提升医学生的语言运用能力、医学与人文素养、团队合作能力、实践能力和创新精神,培养具有较强医学专业能力和英语应用能力的高素质新医科专业人才,优化医学院校大学英语教学成效。
As an engineering education concept,CDIO is characterized by its practicality,systematization and operability for its instructional model,making up for the deficiency of traditional education,which places more emphasis on theory than practice.To better adapt to the demand of new medicine for college English teaching and improve the cultivation quality of foreign language proficiency of professional talents from universities with new medicine concept,medical universities based on the concept of CDIO,combining the practical model of CDIO with multimodal symbols,can build a multimodal English instruction model from five aspects,namely,curriculum setting,teaching content,teaching interaction,teaching methods,and teaching evaluation,aiming to enhance the language application ability of medical students,their medical and humane quality,team working and practical capability as well as innovative spirit,to cultivate high-quality new medicine professional talents with high medical professional competence and English application ability,and to improve the college English teaching effect of medical universities.
