The Integration of Ideological and Political Elements into College English Teaching

高校“思政课程”和“课程思政”分别是高校思想政治教育的“主渠道”和“一段渠”,两者协同发力,共同全方位、全过程服务于高校思想政治教育。高校英语教学作为高校课程思政建设的重要组成部分,因其语言教学与工具性的双重功能,在课堂教学中融入思政元素既具有课程思政的共性特征又具有其特殊性,需要在能力的提升中塑造爱国情怀,在思想的碰撞中提升跨文化交流力,把思政元素融入英语教学的每一节课,强化对大学生价值、思维、文化观的引导,努力培养新时代社会主义建设者和接班人。

“Ideological and political theories courses”and“Ideological and political education”are the“main channel”and“section channel”of ideological and political education in colleges and universities respectively.They work together to serve the whole process and all-round of ideological and political education in colleges and universities.As an important part of ideological and political education,college English teaching has the dual functions of language teaching and cultural communication,the integration of ideological and political elements in the classroom teaching not only has the common characteristics of curriculum ideological and political education,but also has its particularity.It is necessary to build a critical spirit in cultural differences,shape patriotism in the improvement of ability,and enhance cross-cultural communication in the collision of ideas.It is also of pressing need to integrate ideological and political elements into every class of English teaching,strengthen the guidance of College Students’values,thinking and cultural outlook and cultivate qualified builders and successors for the cause of socialism with Chinese characteristics.
