哈尔滨工程大学(原哈尔滨船舶工程学院)是以中国第一所高级军事技术院校——创建于1953年的中国人民解放军军事工程学院的海军工程系为基础发展壮大起来的一所全国重点大学,是国家“211工程”首批建设的高校之一,并入选“双一流”建设高校,隶属于工业和信息化部。

Harbin Engineering University(HEU,formerly Harbin Shipbuilding Engineering Institute)is a key national university that emerged from the Naval Engineering Department of the PLA Military Engineering Institute,China's first senior military and technical collge,founded in 1953.It is one of the collges built by the national"Project 211".It has been selected as one of the national"first class universities and first class disciplines"universities and is affiliated with the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology,PRC.
