全过程人民民主是我国人民当家作主的新实践新机制,也是区别于西方资产阶级民主的显著特征.全过程人民民主在实践中充分彰显了其自身的优越性.全过程人民民主继承和发展了马克思主义的民主思想,吸纳总结了我国的历史经验,并在实践中不断探索形成了社会主义新型政治文明形态.但在具体实践中,全过程人民民主也面临着若干新情况新问题.在新的发展阶段,为了进一步完善人民民主,研究者需要不断地进行探索和改进,提高群众的参与性、运作渠道的有效性和民主制度的公正性.在价值内涵方面,进一步健全人民民主的方向,即集中体现在以人民为中心的价值取向、人民民主实质的内容更为丰富以及实现人民民主的形式更具科学性和多样性.

Full-process people’s democracy is a new practice and mechanism for the people’s mastery in China,and it is also a distinctive feature that distinguishes it from Western bourgeois democ-racy,demonstrating its own superiority.It inherits and develops the democratic thought of Marx and En-gels,absorbs and summarizes our historical experience and explores the new form of socialist political civilization in practice.In terms of practical paths,it faces many challenges in practice.In order to real-ize people’s democracy in the true sense of the word in the new stage of development,it is necessary to continuously explore and improve the participation of the masses,the effectiveness of the operation channels and the fairness of the democratic system.From the aspect of value connotation,it is concen-trated on the people-centered value orientation,richer content of the essence of democracy and more scientific and diversified forms of realizing democracy.
