Ka波段宽带波导-微带转换结构设计与应用

Design and application of a Ka-band waveguide to microstrip transition structure

摘要 为探索毫米波功放高功率稳定输出特性,设计研究了一种适用于Ka波段的共面输出新型波导-微带转换结构,采用HFSS仿真软件分析了结构可行性,并在样机上进行组装验证。通过优化转换结构,设计两段式微带的一体化结构矩形波导口作为射频输出,波导口尺寸为2.0mm×7.11mm,通过在波导微带探针结构中引入共面波导间的宽带互联结构,采用键合金丝串联微带与探针完成阻抗匹配,在确保薄膜探针可靠性组装的同时,可有效确保射频输出指标的一致性。最终产品性能测试覆盖33.5GHz~35.5GHz,实现了毫米波信号的优良传输,输出功率稳定保持40dBm~42dBm。该两段式微带-波导转换方式,具有功率较高、损耗较低的特点,加工一致性好,在微波毫米波领域具有非常广阔的应用前景。 In order to obtain high RF output power for the millimeter power amplifier,a new design of waveguide to microstrip transition structure was presented,which was operating by high frequency simulation software HFSS and verified on the module device.The results show that the waveguide to microstrip transition with waveguide dimensions of 2.0mm×7.11mm was fabricated as the RF output structure.Furthermore,the broadband interconnection of the ground coplanar waveguide was used as the new transmission line,by fabricating the impedance matching structure through introducing weld bonding as the matcing type between the microstrip and the probe,which ensures the reliability of the microstrip assembling and the consistency of the RF output.The finial test results covere from 33.5GHz to 35.5GHz bandwidth in Ka-band,and show good transportation in millimeter band by keeping the stable output from 40dBm to 42dBm.The transition has wide applications in millimeter wave system.
