A Logical Dialectics and Methodological Reflection of Research Method on Overseas Chinese Social Groupings

海外华侨华人社团作为居住地境内少数民族基础社区内部自治结构之一,既镶嵌在主体民族内部,又普遍具有高度跨境群体网络、认同与社会阶层优势。在这种情况下,究竟该如何理解跨境治理维度及其内部社会分群的有机发展范式?这里提出新的动态社交网路与静态社团组织会籍身份管理混合研究方法,作为海外华侨华人社区跨境族群身份认同建构治理的研究基础,希冀通过研究方法的创新为中国的跨境族群社会分群与内部结构发展范式奠定理论基础。

Based on the existing research on overseas Chinese social groupings,this article attempts to establish a new research paradigm on overseas Chinese social groupings,the basic collective units that constituted the ethnic community that embedded in the ethnic hierarchy of their resided country.These minority ethnic organizations generally have a high degree of transnational organization network,common identity performances,and collective social class recognitions.The question asked here is how such internal social structure has been formed at the first place,and how such social groupings have clustered,changed,and developed transnationally over time and under various political and economic circumstances.This article proposes a new hybrid research method of dynamic social network analysis and static community organization membership system management.Through the innovation of this hybrid research method,researchers could use it to apply on various cases to investigate the nature and the paradigm of overseas Chinese social segmentation and internal structure development without preconceived and post-positioned knowledge in the existing research on overseas Chinese ethnic organizations.
