论隋炀帝之“好祥瑞”与“信邪道”

摘要 隋炀帝“好祥瑞”,继位之后即汇集隋文帝之灵异,以示倡导,自述祥瑞,符应纷呈;以天文玄象缘饰军政决策,袁充等术士化朝臣“预知”其军政意向,“假托星象,奖成帝意”;对“忠鲠”进谏之术艺人物,则加以排斥。隋炀帝“专信邪道”,其夺嫡继嗣与打压关陇权贵,无不利用相术、阴阳占卜、蛊惑诅咒、图谶谣言等巫筮术数以运作其事;隋炀帝迷信道术,豢养道土以炼金丹,寻求长生不死。隋炀帝如此,与其深受家族尚巫门风、相关社会风尚之熏染,特别是承继隋文帝“雅信符瑞”之政风密切相关。 Emperor Yang of Sui Dynasty favored auspicious signs,and after ascending the throne,he gathered the supernatural events related to Emperor Wen,his predecessor,to uphold his advocacy.He described himself as auspicious,embellishing military and political decisions with astronomical phenomena.Yuan Chong and other courtiers anticipated the political intentions of the Emperor and supported them under the pretext of astronomical phenomena,rejecting the truly loyal courtiers.Emperor Yang believed in the heretical Taoism and took advantage of the physiognomy,divination,curses,and books of prophecy to suppress the powerful figures in the Guanlong region and implement the act of usurping power.He fed Taoists who refined elixirs for him,seeking immortality.His behaviors were deeply influenced by his family and the social customs,and especially by the political trend of Emperor Wen,who believed in auspicious signs.
