Guo Shoujing's scientific spirit is formed under the influence of the Mountain Zijin Faction,which can be summarized as pure virtue and practical learning which is characterized by humanism,emphasis on practice,seeking new from the old,unity and cooperation.His scientific spirit is formed in the Project of Shiqiao in Xingzhou,the management of water conservancy in Western Xia,the compilation of the Calendar of Time,the design of the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal,and the construction of the Tonghui River.His scientific spirit inspires us that science must be people-oriented,focus on practice,pay attention to the absorption of past experience,and pay attention to the cooperation between teams.This plays an important role in overcoming the alienation of science.
