《毛泽东选集》的英译和对外传播为推动中国革命事业的发展发挥着重要作用。为了把中国革命胜利的经验向世界传播,20世纪50年代国家组织大规模《毛泽东选集》翻译实践,所秉承的良好职业规范,为翻译工作顺利进行和一流的翻译质量提供了重要保障,顺利完成了翻译所肩负的历史使命。本文探讨《毛泽东选集》英译规范中的中观层面,从期望规范、责任规范、操作规范、管理规范等方面加以分析,希冀为国家翻译实践提供有效借鉴。

The Chinese-English translation and international dissemination of the Selected Works of Mao Tse-tung have played a significant role in promoting the development of the Chinese revolutionary cause.To spread the victorious experiences of the Chinese revolution worldwide,in the 1950s,the state organized a large-scale translation practice of the Selected Works of Mao Tse-tung.The excellent professional norms in the translation process provided important guarantees for the progress of the translation and first-rate translation quality,thus successfully fulfilling the translation's historical mission entrusted to the translators.This paper examines the meso-level norms of the Chinese-English translation of the Selected Works of Mao Tse-tung,analyzing them from the aspects of expectation norms,responsibility norms,operation norms,and management norms,hoping to provide certain reference for the state translation program.
