In the 200-year-long history of English translations of Sanguoyanyi,Chinese and foreign translators have made com-bined efforts to present the English-speaking world with more than forty different textual forms.As the key point,translations and translators in the practice of translation requires focused study when analyzing the translation history.In terms of transla-tions,the English translations of Sanguoyanyi are characterized by continuous formation,enriched forms,increasing quality,and complementary functions in general.As for the translators,they are distinguished by their relatively concentrated nationali-ties,diverse identities and rich experiences.Analyzing and summarizing the features of the translations and translators would help to gain an overview of the complex history and the rich achievements of the translation of Sanguoyanyi and promote the dissemination and acceptance of Sanguoyanyi in the English-speaking world.
