摘要
名称是企业走向数字化、品牌化、国际化的利器。中外学界对企业名称研究已取得了可喜的成就,但基于新技术的数据爬取与挖掘的中美企业名称比较认知研究尚付阙如。本研究运用Python爬取技术,在基于对比统计的描写之上,进一步对中美企业名称的语用状态和习用规律进行认知阐释,是一项基于数字化技术、定量定性分析相结合的统计—描写—阐释研究。通过定量统计分析发现,整体上中企名称在地名、属名(字号)、业名和通名上分布较为均匀,而美企名称则各类名称分布不均衡且名称组合方式更加多元化;就企业属名而言,中企属名数据集比较离散,而美企属名类型之间差距则相对较小。在此基础上,定性阐释剖析发现上述异同既有商法规约性与文化历时交互性等宏观理据,也有英汉语言思维及认知心理差异性等微观层面的原因。基于数智论视域下中美企业名称习用规律及其成因的大数据剖析,对企业文化外译及商务翻译教研具有指导意义。
Corporate name plays a key role in the digital development and internationalization of companies,and it has drawn fruitful researches both at home and abroad.However,a data-based cognitive and contrastive study of the topic is underex-plored.This paper,employing Python,conducts a descriptive and explanatory study of Chinese and American corporate names.From the perspective of Digital-tech Theory,it is found that Chinese corporate names are evenly distributed in terms of given names,lines of business,geographical and general names,whereas American ones unevenly and more diversified in the combination;besides,the former is more scattered than the latter in terms of given names,according to the data statistics.Based upon this,the motivations underlying the similarities and differences in Sino-U.S.corporate names are further explored at the macro and micro levels.These findings would provide guidance for the translation of Chinese corporate cultures and the study of business translation teaching.
