摘要
胶质母细胞瘤(GBM)是成人中最具有侵袭性的恶性脑肿瘤。胆固醇是细胞的必要组分,胆固醇的合成、转运和代谢异常在肿瘤的发生发展过程中起着非常重要作用。胆固醇代谢稳态相关调控因子如尼曼-匹克样C型蛋白(NPC1)、甾醇O-酰基转移酶(SO⁃AT1)已成为肿瘤治疗中潜在的新药物干预靶点。该研究阐述了部分靶向胆固醇稳态的小分子药物可能对GBM的治疗作用。
Glioblastoma(GBM)is the most aggressive malignant brain tumor in adults.Cholesterol is an essential component of cells,and the synthesis,transport and metabolism of cholesterol play important roles in the occurrence and development of tumors.Cholester⁃ol homeostasis-related regulators such as niemann-pick-like C-type protein(NPC1)and sterol O-acyltransferase(SOAT1),have recently become potential new drug intervention targets for tumor therapy.The study elaborates the possible therapeutic effects of small-mole⁃cule drugs targeting cholesterol homeostasis in GBM.
