Chinese Traditional Bamboo Architectures:Main Forms and Their Influencing Factors

中国竹资源丰富,分布广泛,竹建筑历史源远流长。中国竹建筑多分布于少数民族聚居区,历史上由于地域封闭,各地区对竹材利用形式各有不同,从而形成了形式多样的竹建筑风格。中国传统竹建筑可分为竹楼、长房、船型屋等3大类型。文章分析了不同类型竹建筑分布区的地理环境、气候特征、民俗习惯等,探究了这些因素对竹建筑形式的影响,可为推动中国传统竹建筑的现代应用以及传统文化的传承与发展提供参考。

Bamboo resources in China are rich and widely distributed,and hence bamboo building has a long history in China.Bamboo buildings in China are mostly distributed in the ethnic minority inhabited areas.In history,due to the geographical closure,different areas have different uses of bamboo materials,thus forming a variety of bamboo architecture styles.Chinese traditional bamboo architecture can be divided into three types,including bamboo building,long house and boat house.This paper analyzes the geographical environment,climate characteristics and folk customs of the distribution area of bamboo architecture of different types,and explores the influence of these factors on the form of bamboo architecture.This study would provide references for promoting the application of traditional bamboo architecture in modern China and the inheritance and development of traditional culture.
