海外中国典籍译本“走回来”之误译例析——以《群玉山头:唐诗三百首英译本》为例

On the Mistranslations in the Studies of Overseas Chinese Classics Translations--A Case Study of The Jade Mountain:A Chinese Anthology Being Three Hundred Tang Poems

研究海外中国典籍译本是中华文化“走出去”的重要部分。国内对于这些“走回来”的海外中国典籍译本的研究中,出现外文汉译错误,影响学者们对译本正文本的研究。在英译本《群玉山头:唐诗三百首英译本》的研究中,学者们对译者名、书名和题记等副文本的汉语翻译出现错误。分析原始文献,正本清源,并基于副文本的理论视角,指出这些汉译错误与译本原文所体现的译者翻译思想相背离,以此引起学界重视。

The study of translations of Chinese Classics by overseas sinologists is an important part of the national cultural strategy of“Going-out”of Chinese culture.Domestic scholars have made mistranslations in the studies of these overseas Chinese classics translations,which have caused confusion and even misleading in the study of translations,and have affected the scholars’study of the translated texts.Through careful examinations of academic literature,based on the theory of paratext,the Chinese mistranslations of the translator’s name,the book’title and the book’s epigraph in the studies of The Jade Mountain have been clarified and the correct translations are identified.It is analyzed that these mistranslations are contrary to the translators’ideas on translation embodied in the original text of the translation,so as to draw the attention of the academic community.
