Reconstructing the Image of the Nation in Transnational Cinema and Art

通过考察包括中国内地和港澳台地区在内地理区域的电影制作者和艺术家重新塑造、想象现代民族国家形象的诸种方式,分析“跨民族电影”“华语电影”及“华语语系电影”等术语在跨国电影史、华语电影理论和世界电影研究的框架中如何重新创造当代中国现代民族国家形象,可以看出华语电影的疆域并不是一条单一的直线,而是由复数的历史、多种的发展线索以及多地域建构来组成的。中国内地和港澳台地区以及海外离散之地,在电影的主体性建构中均占据一席之地。

This paper mainly studies the ways in which filmmakers and artists in the so⁃called“Greater China”region,including Chinese mainland,Taiwan Province,Hongkong and Macao,envision and reconstruct and the image of the modern Chinese nation.It also explores how such terms as“transnational cinema,”“Chinese language cinema,”and“Chinese cinema family”recreate the image of the contemporary Chinese nation in the framework of transnational cinema history,Chinese cinema theory and world cinema research.
